Unity Tutorial 03


This weeks Unity tutorials were fun but took a bit of time to get it done. I done two tutorials for the Unity create with code. The two tutorials were:

-Lesson 1.4 Step into the Driver’s Seat 
-Challenge 1 & Quiz Plane Programming 
I enjoyed doing both of them. The first tutorial was a continue on from last weeks one where it had the car in it. This week we were able to make the car move which I found very fun as when I finished it. I did find it challenging at the start to make the car move but I just made a typing error. I am finding the coding okay but I keep making small mistakes which do take a good bit of time to realise where I went wrong, but I think I am getting better with the coding.

The second tutorial was different from the others as we had to fix the plane. I found the text tips to be very good and they helped  a lot as I am not that skilled with coding in Unity. I found the tutorial fun to do and I felt great when I got everything working.

I am looking forward to next weeks tutorials.

Who Is Aaron Hogan? My name is Aaron Hogan. I was born on the 1st of March,2000, which makes me 19 years old. I live in Clonsilla in Dublin 15. Prototype

Prototype This week I have thought more about my game. I've decided off many people suggestion it that I should include a time limit in my game to make it more fun and exciting for the player when their collecting the items. I felt like I was getting better with Unity when following the tutorials but when I try to start my game off by scratch, I felt like I was kind of lost about where I should even start. I spent a good while trying to get my character to look like how I want him too but I found it difficult. Over this week , I will like to have got everything sorted but I think I need a lot of time during this week to get all my items and character and setting sorted and ready to go. I have a picture of the items and obstacles I want to include into my game: An image of the items/character/obstacles I want to make on unity. I will work on my Unity extra hard this week to make sure I get everything I need done and I will add my progress into my blogs straight away.

Game Design Document Game Introduction  'ROAD TO KICK-OFF' is a game following a footballer who needs to get ready for his big match. The idea of the game is your the footballer and controlling him and trying to find 10 items that he needs for his match, for example football boots or shin-pads. Once you've collected and found all 10 items you will be ready to play your big game. Genre: The genre of the game is adventure because you've to go on a big adventure to try and collect all the items. The game is going to be a fun adventure for the player. GamePlay: The gameplay is going to have one player be a 3D game. The rules are simple, just to collect the 10 items needs. The player will be controlling the player around the area looking for hidden items. The challenge is to get all the items.
